Our Approach

Centaur Strength is about achieving the legendary, mythical, and epic versions of yourself that you didn’t know you could become. We focus our training on complete warmups to prevent injuries, perfecting form, proper breathing techniques, and using a variety of specialty barbells to target specific muscle groups.

Powerlifting Building Blocks

Centaur Strength uses the teachings of Louie Simmons and the power-lifting school he created of Westside Barbell. Our six main lifts increase complete strength: squat, bench-press, deadlift, overhead-press, row, and pull-up. This makes our programs and sessions highly adaptable to both a gym setting and a "garage gym" setting.

Strongman Lifts

Strongman is a complete strength sport with varying challenges. These challenges always revolve around carrying, lifting, tossing, hinging, pressing, and gripping. Let our coaching help you improve in these three main lifts below!

Atlas Stone

Atlas Stone

The Atlas Stone is a staple movement of Strongman, it is a phenomenal way to build up all the posterior chain muscles. These include forearms, biceps, shoulders, and core. Lifting stones requires good technique as injuries may occur if it is done incorrectly.

Log Press

Log Press

The log press is truly a full body lift that starts with a dead lift and row. It continues with an explosive squat, hip thrust, and finishes with the pressing of the log over the head. Events with log press are done for either max weight or max reps.

Yoke Carry

Yoke Carry

A yoke carry is a phenomenal way to train core stability and leg strength. The posterior chain muscles, upper back muscles, and the abdominal wall take a serious toll as they are all constricting in order to stabilize the walk with a heavy load.

The Next Level Of Coaching

Centaur Strength uses the methods taught in the Russian and Bulgarian weightlifting powerhouses of the 70s and 80s and is perfected by Louis Simmons Westside Barbell. This style of training is called The Conjugate Method and it is fundamental for maximal strength.

4 Weeks

Peak Program

Ideal for lifters who are newer to the scene and are looking to max out their squat, bench, and deadlift at the end of the 4-week training cycle. This basic package is a great place to start your strength journey.


8 Weeks

Strength Program

 Ideal for lifters who want to maximize their strength. The focus is given to creating a strength foundation in the first 4 weeks, then a de-load week, and finally a peaking period geared to produce new maxes.


12 Weeks

Strength & Hypertrophy Program

Lifters will get the most complete of the three programs because it has the time to stimulate muscle growth, create a strength foundation, and peak the lifter towards maximal performance in the squat, bench, and deadlift.
